WOMAN IN PIAUIENSE LITERATURE: ANALYSIS OF IDENTITY CONSTRUCTION AND MEMORIALISTIC TRACES IN THE POETIC WRITING OF LUIZA AMÉLIA DE QUEIROZ

Abstract

This investigation presents a study about women in Piauí literature with the purpose of re-signifying and rescuing the first literary manifestations in the scenario of Piauí-expressed literature, emphasizing the poetic production of Luiza Amália de Queiroz. For this, the work Flores Incultas (1875) was chosen, focusing on the construction of women's identity, submitted to the restricted context of the 19th century. As for the methodology, this research is bibliographical with a qualitative-interpretative nature, aiming at the possibility of building meanings through the interpretation of the analyzed poems. This qualitative study is based on content analysis, an empirical technique of data analysis, a method presented by Laurence Bardin (1997). In order to delimit the object of study, we chose four poems, namely: The Woman, I´m not poet, Advices and Dormant Lire. In these poems, we infer the thematic analysis on the discomfort felt by the author in relation to the conditions of women inserted in their socio-historical context. The results of this research indicate that the poems analyzed bring in their verses the female protagonism and the representation of women in the literature of Piauí expression. The author appropriates the poetic discourse from her place of action and her production situation with the purpose of building a female identity with multifaceted social roles.
